The MFB-1B uses the Real Time Vacuum System, first developed for the Contax RTS III, to pull the film down to the pressure plate. The film is pulled down just before the first curtain of the shutter travels and is released right after the second curtain has traveled. This system operates in Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and X modes. |

Contax 645 LA-50 Cable Switch- The Contax LA-50 Cable Switch can be used for close-up or telephoto photography when using a tripod or any other time you wish to release the shutter remotely. Pressing the cable switch offers the same functionality as pressing the shutter release on the camera body. Auto focus is enabled by pressing the release half-way down. Additional features include a lock for Bulb exposures or for continuous shooting. |

Contax 645 MP-1 Battery Holder powers the Contax 645 with a choice of four AA batteries or one 2CR5 Lithium battery. A switch on the MP-1 allows selection of either battery type. Features include a vertical shutter release, AF lock button, cable release socket and grip strap. With the MP-1 Battery Holder in place, AA batteries may be changed on the camera without removing the grip.
