HELIOPAN Filters (Lifetime Warranty - Made in Germany) Standard Double Hard Coated or SH-PMC Multi-Coated ?  Which is right for me - Read on.. HELIOPAN Filters are the Very BEST filters available. The standard Heliopan filter is Double Hard Coated on Both Sides.  These coatings are far superior to other brands version of 'Multicoating', making the standard Heliopan filter a much better filter than other brands multi-coated versions.  This filter is better than all other filters on the market and a Great choice for all applications. The New Heliopan SH-PMC filter is Heliopan outdoing themselves with a Newly developed 14 layer Multi-Coating process (both sides).  This is an Extreme quality filter.  More light passes through the filter rather than getting deflected away.  This will ever so slightly provide a more contrasty image and more importantly reduce the possibililty of flare.  Flare is the #1 cause of reduced contrast & sharpness in your photos.  The drawback of this New filter is availability & cost.  We are now stocking this Special Order filter.  Heliopan only makes this filter via Special Order, so we have to Special Order a stocking Qty in all sizes for your needs - not an easy task.  Currently we have a good supply, but be forwarned that SH-PMC filters are considered Special Order items and you may receive all or partial shipments depending upon our stock at any given time.  We will get you the filters you need in a timely fashion as available from Heliopan.  The other down side is cost.  The new 14 layer Multi-coating process is a costly one and the costs of the filters are Substantially higher than the standard double hard coated.  If you want the Best, If you Shoot Leica, If you have the Money - Then get the Multi-Coated.  Get as good a filter as your budget allows and you will take home more and better photographs from your outings.  Remember, time is the most valuable thing we have and cannot be reproduced.  A lost moment in time is worth how much ??  Priceless.
