Leica
R8

'It
Feels good, It Looks Beautiful'
The
Leica R8 is a Beautiful well designed camera. The first thing
you notice when you hold the R8 for the first time is that the
controls fall right into place at your finger tips. There was
some serious thought and engineering that went into the ergonomic
design of the R8. It handles beautifully and is a serious
photographic tool. It is a simple and easy to use Electronic
camera with dial controls. The self timer has two settings (2
seconds and 12 seconds). You can tell from this that a
photographer designed this camera. The 2 second timer is
perfect for use with the camera on a tripod and the 12 second timer
is perfect to get yourself in the picture (oddly enough, 10 seconds
never seems long enough). The focusing screen is very bright to
help in focusing and composition. Depth of field preview,
mechanical remote cable release, external flash sync, mirror up and
spot metering, no useful feature is left out. This is truly a
camera designed for the professional but easy enough to use for
anyone. Together with the R6.2, you can have the perfect SLR outfit.
