Leica 75mm F1.4 Summilux

Leica 75mm Summilux M Current Version

The optical configuration of the Summilux 75mm F1.4 has not changed since its inception in 1980.  The bodies mechanical design changed in 1982 to the current version seen pictured above.  The current design is quite a bit heavier than the previous version, but can has a built in hood and better close focus capability.  It is a heafty piece of glass and a Beautiful lens to look at as well as shoot with.

The Summilux 75mm is the perfcet low light shooter when a short tele is needed.  Great for theatre and available light landscapes, it also excels as a fantastic portrait lens.

This lens can be recommended for those that love to take portraits, available light street scenes, reportage and theatre.  This is where this lens really shines, especially wide open at F1.4, or for those that need the extra stop of speed for hand held available light shooting.
